Yes I Can (YIC) wasn't just founded – it was born out of a desire to see every child reach their full potential. Picture this: Ruchi and Simcha Feller, inspired by their experiences, set out on a mission. Ruchi, fueled by her volunteer work at a summer camp for children that are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), pursued a career in special education. Armed with a Master’s degree from Daemen College and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), she knew she could make a difference. Simcha, with his knack for executive organization, joined the fray. Together, they Co-founded YIC, each bringing their unique strengths to the table. Today, Ruchi leads as Program Director while Simcha steers the ship as Chief Executive Officer.

YIC isn't your average education agency – it's a lifeline for families struggling to keep their children in mainstream schools. Currently, YIC lends its expertise to over 145 schools across NYC, changing the lives of thousands of students. How? By offering personalized support and specialized techniques, YIC restores parents' faith through expert external consultations.

But YIC isn't just a one-trick pony. It's a multifaceted organization with a slew of sister entities, each dedicated to a different aspect of special education and support:

  • Yes I Can: Comprehensive Special Education Services.
  • Yes I Can HCBS: Home and Community Based Services for New York residents.
  • Yes I Care: Care Management Services for individuals in New York.
  • TriumphABA: ABA services for those diagnosed with ASD throughout New York and New Jersey.
  • Think Preschool (A TriumphABA Project): Provides floor time therapy for children ages 0-5 throughout New Jersey.
  • Zarephath: Provides mental health services for the southwest coast, having recently secured the only government contract permitting operations during school hours, significantly increasing specialized support for students.

Each branch of YIC is on a mission: To ensure that individuals receive the personalized support needed to thrive.

YIC HCBS isn't sitting idle. It's been making waves across New York City, forging impactful partnerships with community leaders like Bishop Mitchell Taylor of Urban Upbound in Queens and Angelo Aponte of New World Preparatory Charter School in Staten Island. Together, they're changing lives, one community at a time.

Bishop Mitchell Taylor is all in: “Partnering with Yes I Can HCBS is a crucial step in ensuring that our community members receive the support they need. Together, we can create a brighter future for the children and families in Queens.”

Angelo Aponte echoes the sentiment: “This collaboration will bring much-needed resources to our students, helping them succeed both academically and personally. We are excited about the positive changes this will bring to our schools & communities.”

And Simcha Feller? He's not slowing down: “We will continue working with dedicated community leaders, ensuring that no child is left behind in their education and development.”

Yes I Can isn't just a name – it's a promise. A promise to provide the personalized support necessary for individuals to thrive, to reach out to underserved communities, and to ensure that every child can succeed.
