Much of modern political theater is performed on Twitter. Look no further than the current commander-in-chief, who often announces major policy and personnel decisions for the first time in 280 characters or fewer. But the New York political scene has become deeply entrenched in social media as well, with journalists, flacks, politicians and observers alike interacting in public like never before. At the end of every weekday, City & State picks the best tweet of the day for readers of First Read Tonight to enjoy. So, as the year comes to a close, we went through all those “Top Tweets” and put together a list of the 10 best tweets of 2018, grammar errors included:
