First there was a budget deal. Then there wasn’t. Then there was. Then there wasn’t.
Will the cycle continue – or will tonight be the night it finally ends?
The state Senate on Tuesday night voted and passed the non-controversial budget bills, and now they’re expected to pass in the Assembly, which took them up on Wednesday afternoon.
However, the revenue budget bill still had yet to be released or printed earlier on Wednesday. It would include controversial provisions legislative leaders have failed to find an agreement on, such as raising the age of criminal responsibility to 18 years old and school aid.
