City & State Reports announced today the winners of its prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility awards for New York’s Banking, Finance & Insurance sector. The awardees were selected following a public nomination process that commenced last month via City & State Report’s website. The awards will be presented June 11th at a special breakfast ceremony at Hunter College featuring remarks by New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer, Hunter College President Jennifer Raab and prominent journalist and author Michael Wolff. Mr. Wolff will also moderate a thought leadership panel on corporate social responsibility and the banking, finance and insurance sector.
This event follows City & State’s highly successful awards breakfasts honoring leading figures from New York’s Real Estate, Construction & Housing sector (held March 31st at John Jay College) and from its Law, Consulting & Business Services sector (held April 22nd at Baruch College).
One of the most important trends in business today, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) encompasses everything from philanthropy to environmentalism to the treatment of workers in the developing world. The goal of this innovative series of events is to promote CSR and encourage businesses to do well by doing good. The events, conducted in partnership with the City University of New York, highlight the best examples of CSR from New York’s corporate community.
