After Opposing Cuomo in Primary, NYS-NOW Set to Endorse Governor

A well-placed source has confirmed to City & State that the political action committee of the National Organization for Women's New York State Chapter will soon endorse Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the general election on Nov. 4.

NOW-NYS had previously endorsed Fordham Professor Zephyr Teachout in the Democratic Primary, snubbing the governor.

In an exclusive video interview with City & State contributor Gerson Borrero back in August NYS-NOW President Zenaida Méndez leveled some criticism at the governor while boosting Teachout's candidacy. 

"When there is a qualified women, a feminist running for office, we would definitely look at that very carefully because we are an organization to empower women and we want equality," Méndez told Borrero.
