Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice has garnered the support of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
On Monday, Rice was named to the DCCC’s Red to Blue program, which offers financial, communications, grassroots and strategic support to candidates. Rice is running for the 4th Congressional District seat that Rep. Carolyn McCarthy will vacate at the end of the year. Also picked were Domenic Recchia for the 11th District and Martha Robertson for the 23rd District.
In addition, the DCCC also tabbed a pair of New York races and candidates as part of its Emerging Races, which the committee identifies as candidates and districts that run smart campaigns and are becoming increasingly competitive. Aaron Woolf,a relatively unknown Democrat in his district, made the list for the 21st District. In the 19th District the DCCC named Sean Eldridge to the list.
