One year ago today, City & State launched First Read Tech, the first weekday newsletter to specifically cover the intersection of New York City and state politics and technology. In our inaugural installment, we promised to cover “everything from Amazon’s latest effort to win over New Yorkers, to a new vacancy at the Taxi and Limousine Commission, to the governor’s surprising plan to prevent the L train shutdown.”

Twelve months later, after some of those projects panned out (preventing the L train shutdown) and others failed or stalled (Amazon HQ2, securing a new TLC commissioner), it’s safe to say that it has been an exciting year for tech in New York.

We’re starting off 2020 on a similarly enthusiastic note, eager to keep you up to date on the latest breaking news, opinions and analysis on tech policy while shedding light on the evolving tech landscape in New York. As we start the new year, we want to hear your feedback on First Read Tech. Who do you want to hear from? What issues do you want to read about in this space? What could we be doing differently?

We hope you’ll take five minutes to complete this survey. In it, you’ll have the chance to provide your thoughts on what you like, dislike or want to see more of from First Read Tech in 2020. Whether it’s suggestions, tips, complaints or critiques, our ears are always open. Thank you for reading!
