The presidential and congressional elections get most of the attention, but you don’t want to miss this year’s state legislative races! City & State has identified 22 different state Senate and Assembly races across New York that are particularly competitive. Some lean blue, others red, but most could go either way in November.
City & State’s readers are among the smartest in the game, and we know that many of you have interesting analysis to offer on these races. That’s why we’re inviting you to take our state-races-to-watch poll: for each race, guess whether the Democrat or Republican (or in rare cases, a third party candidate) is likely to win the race, and feel free to offer some commentary on the races if you want.
If you correctly guess all of the races, you’ll win a mystery prize! Previous poll prizes have included a free City & State-branded bath mat and a free City & State-branded shower curtain.
Keep reading or click here to take the poll. None of the questions are required, so feel free to skip any races you don’t know. We’ll tabulate the results and include them, along with selected reader comments on the races, in a future City & State article. All guesses must be submitted by Saturday, Sept. 14.
