Guess when the New York state budget will be finalized and win a bath mat!

Last year’s state budget was over a month late. Though technically due on April 1, it wasn’t finalized until the early morning hours of May 2 – largely thanks to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s insistence on including more bail reform rollbacks in the budget. 

The governor has promised to do better this year, even suggesting that a budget deal could be completed before the April 1 deadline. Whether you believe the governor or think budget negotiations will stretch into the dog days of summer, City & State wants to hear from you! 

Just take your best guess for when the Legislature will officially finish passing all ten budget bills and submit it using the form below. (If you can't view the submission form below, you can also click here to submit a guess.)
