Summer can be a slow time in politics. Congress goes on recess in August. The state Legislature typically wraps up its work in June. Even the New York City Council is only required to hold one stated meeting in July and August. However, that doesn’t mean that politicians stop politicking. Holding summer press conferences, marching in parades and attending the state fair are all time-honored traditions. Will your elected official of choice complete bingo on our summer political bingo card?
