The Winners & Losers of the Year cover story in this week’s issue is one of City & State’s most eagerly awaited features. We know from our readers what it’s like to be thrilled to be in one column and not so thrilled landing in the other. This year, after the results of a recent product development survey, we too feel like winners. A summary of this survey explains that City & State decided to poll our “readership, customers and clients to better understand their wants and needs, with an emphasis on our flagship ‘First Read’ product. By gaining better insights into the people we serve every day we can strengthen not only our digital product line, but our overall mission as an organization.”
A review of the survey found some pretty high marks. On a scale of one to five, with five being the highest, half of readers gave City & State a five for credibility and trustworthiness and another third gave a four out of 379 responses. Almost 56% said they were “more likely” to read First Read over other newsletters, while 40% were “as likely.” The survey included testimonials like:“City & State is unique in that it has both a great reputation and network.” “The information you print is critical for knowing what’s happening.” “Your reporting is thorough, credible and current.” And: “Whoever does the print covers is fabulous.” There are more, but why brag. We’ll just end with a big thank you for the feedback and request: Keep it coming.
