City & State, along with New York City’s 92nd Street Y and PIX11, kicked off the first in a series of in-person forums on the city’s hottest races this election cycle with a discussion of the comptroller’s race.
On hand for the event last week were state Sens. Brian Benjamin and Kevin Parker, former CNBC contributor Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, Iraq War Marine veteran and entrepreneur Zach Iscol, New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, New York City Council Member Brad Lander, attorney Terri Liftin, former comptroller’s office adviser Reshma Patel and Assembly Member David Weprin. You can still watch a video of the event here.
City & State and its partners provided experienced, political news journalists for the event who’ve kept close watch on this year’s elections. Catch City & State senior reporter Jeff Coltin and PIX11’s James Ford as moderators of the comptroller forum.
Up next: a Manhattan borough president forum on June 3. The event promises discussions with candidates Lindsey Boylan, Elizabeth Caputo, state Sen. Brad Holyman and New York City Council Members Mark Levine and Ben Kallos. Additional candidates may join. To register for the event, go here. And to submit a question, go here.
