Christine Quinn, the president and CEO of Win and former New York City Council speaker, dropped by the Slant podcast for a chat with City & State Editor-at-Large Gerson Borerro that ranged from the impact the congressional tax bill could have on homeless families to attempts to unify state Senate Democrats. Quinn also spoke candidly about the Democratic National Committee, of which she recently became a member.

“I was very disappointed, very disappointed,” Quinn said of her first DNC meeting, and went on to criticize Tom Perez’s early actions as the committee’s new chairman.

Quinn also weighed in on the ongoing race for council speaker, as well as current Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito’s recent quarrel with press over access to City Hall’s east wing.
