It’s no secret that the New York City subway system has seen better days. Amid what some New Yorkers have begun to dub the “Summer of Hell,” the subway system has seen an increase in problems across the board. Delays, overcrowding, infrastructure deterioration and lack of AC are just a few of the inconveniences the subway’s nearly 5 million weekday riders have come to expect. And there seems to be no answer in sight. This week, Ben Kabak, the creator of the must-read transit blog 2nd Ave. Sagas, joined the Slant Podcast to discuss who’s to blame and what we can do.
