It’s no secret that the New York City subway system has seen better days. Amid what some New Yorkers have begun to dub the “Summer of Hell,” the subway system has seen an increase in problems across the board. Delays, overcrowding, infrastructure deterioration and lack of AC are just a few of the inconveniences the subway’s nearly 5 million weekday riders have come to expect.
