LIVE: Minimum Wage Forum

Proponents of the wage hike say higher minimum wages increase employee retention, decrease worker reliance on taxpayer subsidized public assistance programs like food stamps, and stimulate consumer spending throughout the economy. Opponents of the minimum wage increase stress that the real effects are negative: they hurt businesses, raise prices and ultimately are counterproductive for the working poor, as they can lead to unemployment. City & State will host leaders to discuss the pros/cons and impacts of changing the minimum wage.
