LIVE: Skilled Labor (Re)Building

City & State and The Plumbing Foundation Present: Skilled Labor (re)Building NYC

Brief: A building explosion in the East Village last year killed two people, while another blast in East Harlem in 2014 killed eight, exposing the lack of protections against cheap and illegally installed gas lines. City & State and The Plumbing Foundation convene leaders in government, real estate and development, labor and academia to highlight the need for additional investment to upgrade New York City’s aging gas infrastructure, and the need for smart planning and skilled labor to make New York City safer, more sustainable and resilient.
